Redesigned HealthInfoSource This Spring, Focusing on Behavioral Health (Jan. 2021)

As we start out the year, some changes are in store for the website HealthInfoSource.com.

After a run of more than 17 years, the current version of HealthInfoSource.com will be taken down later this month. In its place, the Health District of Northern Larimer County and the Connections program will have a redesigned HealthInfoSource.com. The new website has been completely redone and focuses on local mental health and substance use services. Behavioral health providers will continue to add their profiles over the next couple of months, so check back later this spring as we have more mental health and substance use resources listed.

The earlier version of HealthInfoSource helped our community find providers and services for many healthcare needs, including behavioral health, medical and dental care, and other types of care. Fast forward to today -- with the huge technological advances over the years -- and the old site was showing its age. In addition, most medical and dental offices have their own websites nowadays.

However, community members and professionals have told us that behavioral health is the one area in which it still can be difficult to find care and to find a provider who is a good match for their needs. With that in mind, the new HealthInfoSource.com emphasizes mental health and substance use providers, organizations, and services. The site remains focused on resources in Larimer County. And, as before, the site is free for the community to use, and there's no charge for behavioral health providers to have a listing.

Community members can find local behavioral health providers and organizations, classes and support groups, as well as health guides and blog articles. Care coordinators and other professionals can use HealthInfoSource.com to make referrals and to help clients find appropriate care by filtering searches on type of care, a provider's specialties, insurances accepted, and whether a provider offers teletherapy or is accepting new clients, among many other criteria. The site also has new features for teams that make frequent referrals, such as the ability to share notes about providers and organizations among team members.

The Health District and Connections are excited to bring this resource to Larimer County to assist our community in finding local mental health and substance use services.
